A louvre roof is an outdoor roof with rotating aluminium blades that pivot to control sunlight, shade, airflow and weather. Open the blades for sky and breeze; close them for shade or rain cover. Fully closed, the system is roughly 95% weatherproof, turning a patio, pool area or braai space into a room you can use in every Cape Town season.

132mm aluminium blades rotate through 0–135°. Open them flat for full sky, angle them to filter the harsh afternoon sun, or close them completely for shade and rain cover, all without leaving your seat.
Manual systems rotate the blades with a simple wand, no electronics to maintain. Motorised systems run on a quiet motor controlled by remote, wall switch or smartphone app, so the whole roof opens and closes at a touch.
When closed, the blades drain into a baked-enamel gutter system built into the frame, which channels rainwater to integrated downpipes. That's what makes the closed roof roughly 95% weatherproof.
Powder-coated carriers, beams and poles are engineered for Cape Doctor wind loads. The structure is sized to your span and anchored to take the south-easter head-on.
