Louvre roofs and patio ceilings carry water through integrated gutters and downpipes. Clear leaves and debris before the rain so water drains away cleanly. Blocked drainage is the main winter problem.
On motorised systems, check the remote, test rain and wind sensors, and make sure the IP65 motor housing is clear and dry. A working wind sensor is your best friend in a Cape winter storm.
