The City Bowl is dense, vertical living. In Gardens, Tamboerskloof, Oranjezicht and Vredehoek, outdoor space is a courtyard, a balcony or a rooftop with a Table Mountain backdrop. Wind funnels hard between the buildings and the slopes, and access is often tight.
We specialise in making small, awkward city spaces work: slimline louvre roofs and pergolas engineered for the gusts these streets channel, plus patio ceilings that turn a balcony into a proper outdoor room. Custom-fabricated to the millimetre and craned or carried in where access is difficult.

The south-easter funnels through the City Bowl in gusts that change direction street by street, bouncing off slopes and buildings from Vredehoek down to the city centre. We build for that from the start: marine-grade aluminium frames, engineered fixings into brick or concrete, and motorised louvres that close themselves on a wind sensor before a gust becomes a problem.
Space is the other constraint. Most City Bowl outdoor rooms are a courtyard, a balcony or a roof deck, so we work in slimline profiles and compact spans that turn a few square metres in Gardens or Tamboerskloof into a usable outdoor room, without crowding the walls around it.
