Northern Suburbs weather
Made for ridge wind and hot inland afternoons.
Durbanville and Bellville sit far enough inland that summer heat matters more than salt. Adjustable louvres let you angle the blades to filter the afternoon sun and keep the air moving. The Plattekloof terrace roof sits on an exposed ridge, so it is built for that wind exposure and tied back to the house wall, and with the blades open the valley view stays clear.
We still build in marine-grade aluminium with no ferrous metal, because Northern Suburbs winters are wet. The Parow louvre roof and the dove-grey roof in Durbanville have gutters built into the frame. In Edgemead the patio ceiling has LED downlights recessed into the beams, wired to a switch on the house wall, so the space works after dark.
